Hawzah News Agency- In a message posted on his X account, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili hailed the appointment.
He said he was glad that the void created after the assassination of Sayed Hassan Nasrallah was filled after the election of Sheikh Qassem.
Al Khalili said the new Hezbollah chief will continue the path of Nasrallah in confrontation with the Zionist regime’s brutal aggression against the Lebanese and other regional nations.
He also hoped that Sheikh Qassem will carry out this responsibility with decisiveness, fortitude and patience until ultimate victory and liberation of Muslim lands from the Israeli regime’s occupation.
Last week, Sheikh Qassem, who had served as Hezbollah’s deputy chief since 1991, replaced Nasrallah, who was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on a Beirut suburb on September 27.
Sheikh Qassem was among the figures contributing to the establishment of Hezbollah and the Amal movement.
